Our reviews, rankings, calculators and incentive pages are for general information. They're based on published specs, independent reports and formulas we explain on each page, and they can't account for every home, appliance or local rule. Use them as a starting point for your own decision.
Not electrical, financial or tax advice
- Electrical work. Connecting a battery or generator to your home's wiring, installing a transfer switch or inlet, or adding a 240V circuit should be done by a licensed electrician and may need a permit. Never backfeed a panel through an outlet. It can kill utility line workers and start fires.
- Medical equipment. If you rely on powered medical equipment such as a CPAP or oxygen concentrator, confirm runtime and compatibility with the equipment maker and your care provider. Don't rely on a calculator estimate alone.
- Money and taxes. Incentive and tax-credit information is a summary. Program rules, funding and eligibility change. Confirm with the program administrator or a tax professional before you count on any rebate or credit.
Prices and availability
Prices, stock and promotions change often, sometimes daily. We show when each price was last checked, but the retailer's price at checkout is the one that applies.
No warranty
We work to keep the site accurate, but it's provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, HomeGridHQ isn't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Product warranties come from the manufacturer or seller, not from us.
Third-party links
We link to retailers, manufacturers, testing outlets and government programs. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices, products or privacy practices. Some links are affiliate links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure.
Using our content
The text, data tables, calculators and graphics on HomeGridHQ belong to HomeGridHQ unless noted otherwise. You're welcome to link to any page and quote short excerpts with a link back. Please don't copy whole pages or scrape the database.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which HomeGridHQ is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
