The catch is honest and physical: 197 pounds is not portable by any definition that involves stairs, and by the time you've added expansion batteries and panel installation you're within sight of standby-generator money. We'd still take it over a generator for outages under three days - silent, indoor-safe, zero maintenance - but buy it as infrastructure, not a gadget.
